International Order of the Rainbow for Girls
Rainbow is more than a club. It is a true sisterhood where girls come together to build friendships that last a lifetime. It is a place where you will laugh, grow, and discover who you are meant to be, all while learning leadership skills that will prepare you for the future. Every meeting, every event, and every memory becomes part of a journey you will carry with you forever.

Are you ready to be part of something amazing? Rainbow is not just another organization. It is friendship, leadership, service, and fun all rolled into one. You will have the chance to lead your peers, plan events, serve your community, and challenge yourself in ways that make you stronger and more confident. Along the way, you’ll gain mentors who support you, sisters who stand beside you, and opportunities that open doors for your future.

If you are between the ages of 10 and 20, you can begin your journey as a Rainbow Girl. And if you are not quite 10 yet, don’t worry—girls ages 7 through 9 can start early by joining our Pledge program. It’s the perfect way to get involved, meet new friends, and start learning what it means to be part of Rainbow.

​Say Hello
Reach out to us by contacting your local Assembly or using our contact form. Once we hear from you, someone from Rainbow will connect with you to introduce themselves, answer questions, and help you get started.

Meet and Learn
We will set up a time to meet you and your parents. This visit can take place at your home or in another comfortable setting. It is a chance for you to ask questions, learn more about what Rainbow does, and hear about all of the fun activities and opportunities available.

Application for Membership
With our help, you will fill out an application (sometimes called a petition). Two Rainbow Girls and an affiliated adult will also sign it. Then it is presented at the next Assembly meeting, where the members vote to welcome new girls into the Order.

Initiation
Every organization has a special way of welcoming new members. In Rainbow, that happens through our Initiation ceremony, a tradition that has been part of us since 1922. During Initiation, you will hear the lessons of Rainbow and learn the meaning behind our symbols. It is a memorable experience that marks the beginning of your journey as a Rainbow Girl.
