Discover Camp Yeibichai
Arizona Rainbow’s Leadership Retreat
Nestled in the breathtaking mountains near Flagstaff, Camp Yeibichai, affectionately known as Camp Y, is Arizona Rainbow’s sanctuary away from the busyness of daily life. Here, you will unplug from technology since there is no Wi-Fi or cell service and reconnect with the people who matter most, your Rainbow Sisters. The quiet forests, starry nights, and mountain air create the perfect backdrop for new friendships, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable memories.

Camp Y was born from a dream in 1973 when Grand Worthy Advisor Carolyn York launched the Camp Fund as her special project. With the generosity of 52 Assemblies and ten individuals or groups, more than $3,300 was raised in the first year. Carolyn’s home Assembly, Douglas 4, contributed $500 by selling tamales and beans at the County Fair, a tradition that continued for years.
By 1977, the dream became reality, and by 1980 the first cabins were under construction. Just one year later, the first Leadership Training Camp was held. Through the dedication of Arizona Rainbow members and supporters, Camp Y grew into a debt free, 30 acre retreat where generations of Rainbow Girls have built skills, memories, and friendships that last a lifetime.

What is a Leadership Camp
Rainbow Leadership Camp is more than just a weekend away. It is a place where girls come together to grow, learn, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment. At camp, every activity is designed to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and prepare Rainbow Girls for the important roles they will take on in their Assemblies and in life. Here is what you can expect when you attend Leadership Camp:
Training for Leaders
Leadership Camp focuses on teaching skills that prepare Rainbow Girls to become strong leaders both inside and outside of Rainbow.
Membership Development
Sessions at camp teach girls how to welcome new members, strengthen their Assemblies, and build a sense of belonging.
Personal Growth
Beyond leadership skills, camp provides opportunities for self-discovery, confidence building, and learning how to communicate effectively with others.

Ritual and Floor Work
Campers learn and practice the traditions, rituals, and floor work that make Rainbow special, ensuring these lessons are passed down with confidence and pride.
Planning and Organizing Events
Camp is where girls practice planning special events, learning how to manage details, work as a team, and celebrate their success.
Fun and Fellowship
Leadership Camp is not all training. Recreational activities, crafts, and games create balance, helping campers form friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Why You Will Love It
You will love Camp Y because it is a place where you can step away from everyday life and truly be yourself. Surrounded by the quiet beauty of the mountains, you will sleep in cozy cabins, gather around glowing campfires, and spend your days with your Rainbow Sisters in a setting that feels like home. Every moment at camp becomes a memory, whether it is singing under the stars or sharing stories that bring you closer together.

You will love the balance of learning and fun. Leadership sessions and Grand Officer practices will challenge you to grow in confidence and skill, while games, crafts, and team activities will keep you laughing and smiling. Skits, themed dress ups, and friendly competitions add excitement and creativity, making camp a place where serious learning and silly fun go hand in hand.

You will love how camp helps you build lasting friendships. Without phones or Wi-Fi, you can focus on connecting with the people around you. From morning devotionals to late night talks in the cabin, every conversation helps strengthen the sisterhood that makes Rainbow so special.

And at the end of the weekend, when your shoes are dusty and your hair is windblown, you will realize you are leaving with so much more than memories. You will carry home new skills, stronger friendships, and a deeper connection to Rainbow. That is what makes Camp Yeibichai a place you will always look forward to returning to.
